  What Are Your Rights?

  rights seem to be everywhere nowadays.

  say hello to someone in the wrong way and you've violated 101 of their human rights.

  people imagine they have the right to all sorts of things - food, healthcare, housing, internet ... so many things are labelled basic rights and then you get onto their human rights - a favourite of the do-nothing bodies such as the un to declare.

  REINSTATEMENT
  

  34 A disfellowshipped person or one who has disassociated himself from the congregation may be reinstated when he gives clear evidence of repentance and over a reasonable period of time demonstrates that he has abandoned his sinful course. He shows that he is desirous of having a good relationship with Jehovah. The elders are careful to allow sufficient time​—many months, a year, or even longer, depending on the circumstances—​for the disfellowshipped person to prove that his repentance is genuine. When the body of elders receives a written plea for reinstatement, the original judicial committee, if practical, should speak with the individual. The committee will evaluate the evidence of “works that befit repentance” on his part and decide whether to reinstate him at that time or not.​—Acts 26:20.

  35 If the person requesting reinstatement was disfellowshipped from another congregation, a local judicial committee should meet with the person and consider the plea. Thereafter, the local judicial committee will communicate with the body of elders of the congregation that disfellowshipped the individual, giving them their recommendation. The involved committees will work together to make sure that all the facts are gathered to arrive at a just decision. However, the decision to reinstate is made by the original judicial committee. If some members of the original committee are no longer in the congregation or are not qualified to serve, other elders from the original congregation may be chosen to replace them.

  By the way, a reporter, who worked for Time magazine, interviewed Franz when he became president of the WTB&TS in 1977 (he had been Vice-President of the Watch Tower Society). That interview actually resulted in a story appearing in the July 11, 1977 issue of Time.
  Privately, the reporter said that in all his years as a reporter interviewing “important” people, after spending one hour with Fred Franz, he came away with the impression that Freddie was so deranged as to be “certifiably insane.”

  Allowing delusional authoritarians to persuade you is a sure way to waste your time, your resources, and your life.

  If Fred Franz was so smart, how come he spent 77 years toiling as a Jehovah's Witness? Didn't he waste 77 years of his life just like I spent 45 years wasting mine? At least I knew when to get out and stop wasting my time.

  The Watchtower Society has switched from real congregation members playing Bible characters ( fake costumes, pre-recorded voices), to pre-made ( Hollywood) dramas.

  days of future passed stated:

  Switching to the pre-made dramas means that another avenue of fun is gone. At least for those that had some pull in the congregations. The live music and food preps are long gone. The society wants to make sure that everything is exactly as they want it.

  Here are some real and honest reviews on this Youtube video:

  *Ah yes, the ancient Middle East, where the men wear obviously fake beards and speak impeccable American English

  *Is it me, or is Watchtower getting more ridiculous?

  * I don't know what was worse, the fake wigs, fake beards, horrible acting or bad storyline.

  *Why do all the men have beards? I thought this was a Jehovah's Witnesses Production and I was under the impression that beards were unacceptable to true worship.

  with some litle imagination it is a freemason sign.

  Here is a Freemason symbol! Does it come close to the background sign/symbol? The Watchtower Society could have shown pictures/photos of plants, trees, people, or buildings in the background. They chose this symbol. WHY?

  Let's say you walk into a small restaurant in Iowa and you sit down for dinner. They hand you a menu that is mostly vegetarian dishes but does have sirloin steak. You are a meat eater and decide you want the sirloin steak. The cooks that night are two vegans who are disgusted by your food choice. They tell the waiter that they will not prepare the steak because of morality issues. Eating steak is cruelty to animals.

  The waiter tells you that the cooks refuse to cook you a steak. You are also told that if you don't like their decision you can walk out of the restaurant. You scratch your head....'' What is the difference between cooking eggs, potatoes, or my steak for these cooks?

  Do you walk out, complain, write a letter to the local village about the treatment you received? Were these cooks protected from not cooking your steak that night, that was clearly was on the menu?
